Getting Started
What is airball.gg?
airball.gg is a free daily NBA trivia site. Six new games go live every day at midnight, each testing a different area of basketball knowledge — from career stats and draft history to awards and player connections.
Is airball.gg free?
Yes, completely free. All six daily games are available to everyone with no paywalls, no ads interrupting gameplay, and no premium tiers. Creating an account is also free and gives you stat tracking and streaks.
Do I need to create an account to play?
No. You can play all six games without an account. However, creating a free account lets you track your stats, maintain streaks across devices, and join Locker Rooms to compete with friends.
What devices can I play on?
airball.gg works on any device with a web browser — phones, tablets, laptops, and desktops. No app download required. Just open airball.gg and start playing.
The Games
How many games are there?
Six: Top 10 Quiz, NBA Bingo, Higher or Lower, Who Am I?, Connections, and 2 Truths 1 Lie. Each game tests a different type of basketball knowledge, from stat recall to player identification to fact-checking.
When do the games reset?
All six games reset at midnight in your local timezone. Everyone around the world gets the same puzzles on the same day, so you can compare scores with friends without worrying about spoilers from different time zones.
Can I play more than once per day?
Each game can only be played once per day — that's what makes the daily format exciting. Every answer counts because you can't retry. If you want more, you can always play past games from previous days.
Can I play past games I missed?
Yes. You can access previous days' puzzles through the calendar icon on any game page. Past games don't count toward your streak or leaderboard stats, but they're great for practice.
How is the difficulty determined?
Each game is designed to be accessible to casual fans while rewarding deep knowledge. For example, Top 10 Quiz might feature well-known categories like career points alongside trickier ones like career steals. The daily mix aims for a balance that keeps every skill level engaged.
Where do the stats and facts come from?
Every stat, fact, and claim in our games is verified against official sources like Basketball Reference and StatMuse. We never use unverified data — accuracy is our top priority.
Accounts & Stats
What stats are tracked?
Your dashboard tracks win rate, average score, current streak, and best streak for each of the six games. You can see your overall performance and drill down into individual game stats.
Do my stats sync across devices?
Yes. Once you're logged in, your stats sync automatically. Play on your phone during your commute and check your stats on your laptop later — everything stays in sync.
I played before creating an account. Can I recover those stats?
Unfortunately, games played before creating an account can't be retroactively added to your stats. Your tracking starts from the first game you play while logged in.
How do I reset my password?
Go to the login page and click "Forgot password." You'll receive an email with a link to reset it. If you don't see the email, check your spam folder.
Streaks
How do streaks work?
Your streak counts the number of consecutive days you've played. Play at least one game each day to keep it alive. Miss a day and your current streak resets to zero — but your best streak is always saved.
Do I need to play all six games to maintain my streak?
No, playing at least one game in a day is enough to keep your overall streak going. Each individual game also has its own streak counter.
What time zone are streaks based on?
Streaks use your local timezone. Games reset at midnight your time, so you have a full 24-hour window each day.
Locker Rooms
What is a Locker Room?
A Locker Room is a private group where you and up to 25 friends can compete against each other. You can see everyone's scores, compare streaks, and send trash talk messages.
How do I create or join a Locker Room?
You need a free account to use Locker Rooms. Once logged in, go to the Locker Room page to create a new room or enter a join code that a friend shared with you.
Can I be in multiple Locker Rooms?
Yes, you can join multiple Locker Rooms — one for your college friends, one for coworkers, one for your fantasy league, etc.
Technical
The site isn't loading properly. What should I do?
Try clearing your browser cache and refreshing the page. If the issue persists, try a different browser or device. You can also email us at support@hi.airball.gg and we'll help troubleshoot.
My game progress disappeared. What happened?
Game progress is saved in your browser's local storage. If you cleared your browser data, switched browsers, or used incognito mode, your in-progress game data may have been lost. Creating an account ensures your completed game results are always saved.
Can I suggest a new game or feature?
Absolutely! We love hearing from players. Send your ideas to support@hi.airball.gg — we read every email and have implemented player suggestions before.
